In light of the pause in paediatric cardiac surgery at the Children's Hospital, YOUNG HEARTS will continue to provide support and advice to families of heart children.

As a group we will continue our role in supporting families at this difficult time.

Young Hearts was set up by local parents and friends of children with heart disease to offer support by:

• Providing a listening ear at the end of a phone, should you wish to call a parent
  whose child has the same or similar condition

• Providing a link to appropriate sources of information about heart disease

• Introducing you to other charities which support heart children and their families

• Raising money to purchase equipment for the ward or cardiac team

• Providing social events for Young Hearts children and their families
